- Chosen by Voters well I am not a Dr but I had my appendix removed a year ago I had the symptoms 3 yaers ago just like you pain would come and go, but last year I had a the same pain onlt thing it lasted longer I still had a good appetite, I went to the Dr he told me it was my bladder, and then he gave me antacids that didnt work the next day I attended a wedding and that night I decided to go to the E.R and the E.R Dr said its appendicitis they did a cat scan and it alrady had bursted thang GOD I was Ok. I got surgery the following day and stayed in the hospital 4 days after for obsrvation, since i have a high tolerance in pain I didnt think it was appendicitis.sumptoms were1. pain when cough/laughed2.Constipation3.pain when I would press on my side4. did not get a feverjust go ge it checked out its better to know if it is or not than regret it later, some people dont live to tell about it especially after its bursted My surgeon said it was a miracle my blood didnt get poisoned. 5 years ago 100% 1 Vote

- Chosen by Voters yes – it sounds like appendicitis. Specifically, when you press in – and it hurts when you let go, this is called rebound pain and is an indicator of appendicitis. You need to see your doctor asap. 1 week ago 100% 1 Vote
- Chosen by Voters Appendicitis can't be diagnosed without a CT Scan and can be very serious if left untreated. I had appendicitis this year, back in January. It was VERY severe pain for hours on end. Painful to the touch, though the pain seemed to subside about 8 hours later.I had to have my appendix removed so as to prevent complications.Everyone's symptoms differ however, so you should go see a doctor rather than leave it up to the internet to find out. Self diagnosis is not reliable and often wrong. Source(s): Had appendicitis in January this year. 2 years ago 67% 2 Votes
- Chosen by Voters Just to give you an idea of how things are, I spent about 8 hours in an emergency room after a wreck. They took a cat scan. I did have a slight concussion. The total came to about $38,000 not counting the doctor and ambulance ride. So, I think $40,000 is cheap. 2 years ago 100% 1 Vote
I understand you don't want to go to ER if unnecessary, but go anyway. I had the exact same pain 4 two mnths and they did ultra sound, MRI, and CT scan and they never found out what it was, and still i havent had my appendix out, but if ur pain is this serious, you defenitley need 2 go to ER because most likely that is what it is.feel better soon
3 years ago thanks. it went away for the most part. so i think i'm okay, but if it acts up again, i'll surely go
- Chosen by Voters Appendicitis typically begins with a vague pain in the middle of the abdomen often near the navel or "belly button" (umbilicus). The pain slowly moves to the right lower abdomen (toward the right hip) over the next 24 hours. In the classic description, abdominal pain is accompanied with nausea, vomiting, lack of appetite, and fever. All of these symptoms, however, occur in fewer than half of people who develop appendicitis. More commonly, people with appendicitis have any combination of these symptoms.
